Costs can vary depending on what charger you are installing, the location of your electrical panel, whether you already have the charger and receptacle, and the layout of your home and garage! On average, past installations have ranged from $950 up to $3,500 and beyond.

Our licensed electricians can install any brand of charger or wall connector and specialize in  Level 1 (120V) and Level 2 (240V) EV charger installations. The most common job we see is a Level 2 charger install due to its superior charging speed relative to Level 1.

Our typical order of business is as follows: same-day introductory call to gather information and provide consultation on your scope of work, an in-person site survey within 72 hours of the intro call, and the installation within 72 hours after that depending on materials required. Sometimes, an in-person site survey is not needed and we can perform the installation within a few days of the initial call!

Level 1 charger - (120V) - Level 1 charging uses a common 120-volt household outlet. Level 1 is the slowest way to charge an EV and is better suited for plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) as they only add ~6-8 KM of range per hour of charging.

Level 2 charger - (240V) - Level 2 charging is the most commonly used level for daily EV charging, plugging into a 240V outlet (like a dryer would use) and using 30-70 Amps. One hour of Level 2 charging adds roughly 30-70km of range.

Level 3 Charger - (480V) - Unlike Level 1 and Level 2 charging that uses alternating current (AC), Level 3 charging uses direct current (DC). Both the cost and the voltage is much higher than Level 1 & 2 charging, which is why you almost never see level 3 chargers installed at home.
